From how the process works, to what you can expect on session day, to how your final gallery will be delivered. It’s all laid out here to make things simple and stress-free. My goal is to help you feel fully prepared and confident, so when session day arrives, you can relax, have fun, and just be in the moment while I take care of the rest.

Every session with Honey & Olive is meant to feel exciting and easy. This guide will walk you through my process and procedures that will ensure you get the very best from me!!


Before Your Session


  • A signed contract and 25% deposit are required to secure your session date.


  • We’ll finalize the location, timing, and any special details by one week before your session.


  • A prep guide will be sent to help you feel fully ready for your session day.


Session Day Guidelines


  • I will arrive 5–10 minutes early to set up and help you (your family) settle in.


  • Wear comfortable, coordinated outfits that reflect your (family’s) style.


  • Bring comfort items for little ones if needed.


Cancellations & Rescheduling


  • Retainers are non-refundable but can be applied to a rescheduled session within 6 months.


  • Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.


  • Weather-related reschedules will be coordinated within 48 hours of your session.


Late Arrivals


  • Sessions begin at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may shorten your session length to ensure we respect other clients’ bookings.


After Your Session


  • Your online gallery will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session date.


  • Galleries include high-resolution edited images ready for download and sharing.


  • Additional images are available for purchase (starting at $5) and will be edited and added to your gallery within 7-10 days of purchase.


Payment Policies


  • A non-refundable retainer is required to officially secure your session date and time. This deposit ensures that your spot is held exclusively for you and that I turn away other potential bookings for that time.


  • The remaining balance is due in full 5 days prior to your session. Sessions that are not paid in full by this time may be subject to cancellation.


  • If you need to reschedule, please notify me as soon as possible. Your retainer can be applied to a rescheduled session within 6 months of your original date, based on my availability. However, session fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person.


  • If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session or do not show up, the full session fee is still due. This policy is in place because your time slot is exclusively reserved for you, and last-minute cancellations prevent me from offering the spot to another client.


  • For weather-related reschedules or true emergencies, we will work together to find the next available date. In these situations, your payment will be transferred to your new session date.


  • Final galleries will only be released once the balance is paid in full.


Copyright & Usage


  • Honey & Olive Photography retains full copyright of all images.


  • Clients receive personal-use rights for sharing and printing.


  • Commercial use or resale of images is not permitted.
